Harmony Homes Receives Unanimous Approval from
Maryland Heights City Council for Innovative Senior Living Project
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (Aug. 7, 2025) – Harmony Homes, a pioneer in residential senior living, received unanimous approval from the Maryland Heights, MO., City Council July 17, to move forward with its new construction project, bringing a unique and personalized model of care to the community.
The vote allows Harmony Homes to begin development on its state-of-the-art Residential Assisted Living (RAL) homes, designed to offer seniors a more intimate, comfortable, and home-like environment compared to traditional, larger assisted living facilities. This model is among the first of its kind in the St. Louis region, focusing on providing high-quality, individualized care in a familiar residential setting.

The new development will feature six custom-built homes with each accommodating 16 residents. This smaller scale allows for a higher caregiver-to-resident ratio, ensuring personalized attention, fostering strong social bonds among residents, and creating a true family atmosphere.
Construction is expected to begin in the coming months, with a projected opening of two homes in mid-2026 with the other four homes completed in 2027.
