The Spirit of Saint Louis Squash Foundation is proud to announce the 2024 winners of the High School Squash Players of the Year awarded in conjunction with US Squash:
⦁ Rishi Srivastava (Berwyn, Pennsylvania) will receive the Musick and Ashmore Trophy as the Men’s National High School Player of the Year; ⦁ Caroline Fouts (Rye, New York) and Riya Navani (Milpitas, California) will receive the Musick and Ashmore Trophy as the Women’s National High School Co-Players of the Year; ⦁ Caroline Eielson (Boston, Massachusetts) and Rishi Srivastava (Berwyn, Pennsylvania) will receive the Summers Trophy as the Women’s and Men’s Eastern Region Players of the Year; ⦁ Huzaifa Ibrahim (Houston, Texas) and Dixon Hill (Waite Hill, Ohio) will receive the Spence Trophy as the Men’s and Women’s Midwest Region Players of the Year; ⦁ Riya Navani (Milpitas, California) and Zane Patel (Palo Alto, California) will receive the Arneson Trophy as the Women’s and Men’s High School Western Region Players of the Year; and ⦁ Sameer Shafqat (Chesterfield, Missouri) and Bridget Clennan (Ladue, Missouri) will receive the Avery Cup as the Men’s and Women’s St. Louis Players of the Year. The Foundation will present these awards at its Annual Gala in Saint Louis on April 20, 2024. In addition to the winners and their families, the Foundation is proud to host three world-ranked and well-known professional squash players at its Gala. John White, Amanda Sobhy and James Willstrop will share their talents and experiences with the winners, and provide exciting exhibition matches for those in attendance. Foundation Chairman Craig W. Ashmore said “the Foundation is honored to recognize the dedication, hard work and talent of these high school athletes. They excel in squash, a challenging sport that dates back over 150 years. We look forward to sharing the weekend with these athletes, their families and the squash professionals at the Racquet Club in St. Louis.” Each year, the Foundation honors the top male and female high school players nationally, regionally and locally. At its expense, the Foundation hosts these players and their families for an exciting weekend in St. Louis culminating with the Annual Gala when their perpetual trophies and commemorative plates are presented. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to advancing squash across the United States.
